1885 Low Wall Sporting Rifle, .22 Magnum, 30

1885 Low Wall Sporting Rifle, .22 Magnum, 30" Oct. Barrel, Double Set Trigger

1885 Low Wall Sporting Rifle, .45 LC, 30" Oct. Barrel, Double Set Trigger

A variation of the standard 1885 model, the so-called "Low Wall" rifle used the same basic action as the High Wall, however the Low Wall's receiver had low sides, exposing most of the breechblock and hammer. Manufactured along with the High Wall, the Low Wall appealed to shooters who preferred the ability to thumb cock easier. Cimarron offers our replica Low Wall 1885 single-shot rifle in the favorite Thick Side version. Barrels are handsomely blued, 30-inch octagon (most common with original Winchesters). Butt plates are blued and receivers, levers and hammers boast of the attractive color case hardened finish. A choice of either the plain straight stock, or the fancy pistol grip, hand checkered stock and forearm (both styles have the tapered knurled tip). Single trigger setup is standard, but double-set triggers are optional. Sights are the folding leaf buckhorn rear and a pinned blade front. Our Low Wall is offered in .45 Colt, .44-40, .38-40, .32-20, .22 Hornet, .22 Long Rifle or .22 Magnum. Produced from 1885-1920, it was a late frontier favorite!
